Attendance/Absence Policy

If a student is absent, his/her parents should notify the school by 8:30 a.m. of the reason for the absence. Parents are requested to leave this information directly on the classroom teacher’s voicemail or email the teacher. If a student is gone part of the day, he/she must be signed in by a parent or appropriate adult upon his/her return and walked to his/her classroom.

The Learning Commons (TLC)

The Learning Commons is a place and program within our school designed to encourage and support a love of reading among all Heritage Christian elementary students. The program is facilitated in a dedicated space by a trained instructor. Our TLC instructor works both collaboratively with our classroom teachers as well as individually with students requiring extra support.

Inclement Weather Protocol

In the case of inclement weather, we will cancel classes when Blue Valley USD cancels. Classes are generally not cancelled during the day if bad weather develops. Parents may pick up their students without advance notice. Since road conditions vary by area, parents should keep students home at their discretion.

Facility Use

Any persons or groups wishing to reserve space at the east campus must complete and submit RPC’s facility use form.
