Heritage Christian Academy

MENUMENU

Curriculum Overview

Heritage Christian Upper School is dedicated to offering the highest level of academic curriculum integrated with a robustly biblical worldview in order to prepare each student for the challenges of college, and ultimately to fulfill God’s calling for his or her life. Distinctives of the middle and high school programs are outlined below along with the complete upper school scope and sequence.

The middle school curriculum is designed to prepare students for the comprehensive and rigorous curriculum of the high school by developing good habits, study skills, and discipline for more advanced academic work. Of particular importance is our emphasis on developing a Christian worldview in each academic area and by structuring lessons and activities in a way that helps move students from concrete to abstract in their thinking. By the time students reach high school, they will have honed their critical and analytical thinking skills and be ready to meet the demands of a challenging curriculum.

For middle school questions, please contact Assistant Upper School Principle James Hoskins.

The high school curriculum prepares students for admission into a college/university setting. Students are required to earn 26 credits for the College Prep diploma. HCA also offers a Scholar’s Diploma which requires 28 credits in addition to additional requirements regarding a minimum number of honors class and a GPA requirement.

For high school questions, contact Upper School Principle Rick Jarvis.
