HCA’s choir program is designed to give students an outlet to praise God with song while developing their musicianship and interacting positively with their peers. Students sing a variety of of musical literature, practice healthy singing technique and utilize exercises that develop music literacy. These choral groups perform at a variety of events throughout the year. Solo voice competitions are also available.
Middle School Choir is open to all 6th–8th grade students at HCA. This group performs twice per semester. Students enrolled in Middle School Choir are eligible to audition for district and state honor choirs.
High School Choir is open to all 9th–12th graders at HCA. The High School Choir has an expanded range of performance opportunities throughout the year. Students enrolled in High School Choir are eligible to audition for district and state honor choirs.
The HCA Honor Choir is a small ensemble of students who aim to go above and beyond in the art of choral excellence. This group meets before school several days a week to rehearse challenging repertoire and to further cultivate their singing abilities. To participate in Honor Choir, the student must be concurrently enrolled in High School Choir. Honor choir performs at various times throughout the school year.
Heritage Christian Academy offers a Fine Arts Diploma track for students wishing to specialize in a particular fine art.
